From September 25 to 27, the vibrant city of Gdynia played host to the Tricity Model United Nations conference at PPNT, where the spirit of diplomacy and global discussion thrived. This year, five remarkable students from Regent College took on the challenge, engaging in dynamic debates across several Commissions, including the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, the United Nations Environment Programme, the Human Rights Council, and the Crisis Committee.
Maja Karpiuk, Kacper Kozioł, Franciszek Olechnowicz, Aleksander Stankiewicz, and Robert Jaśkiewicz proudly represented a diverse array of countries, from Morocco to Japan and Cuba to the Netherlands. Throughout the Debate Sessions, the delegates tackled pressing global issues, such as climate change, refugees and the complex problem of homelessness. Notably, Franciszek Olechnowicz distinguished himself as one of the honorably mentioned delegates, recognized for his exceptional contributions to the Committee debates.
Our students returned from this enriching experience filled with inspiration and a renewed sense of purpose, eagerly anticipating future Model United Nations events. In their journey, they also had the pleasure of reconnecting with former Regent students, Leszek Wójcik and Wiktor Meller, to whom we extend our warmest regards.
