To celebrate a success is always a very pleasurable experience. Be it in sports, school subjects or your artistic passion. There are, however, such occasions that call for a very special treatment as they celebrate the achievements based on long-term commitment rather than a single event or project. In the world of high-schools the pinnacle of awards is by the scholarship of the Prime Minister of Poland.
Every year students from schools across Poland compete for the prestigious scholarship. It is awarded to those with the highest attainment and the most impressive list of achievements.
Our very gifted and very hard-working student, Franciszek Olechnowicz, along with students from other schools in the voivodeship has received the scholarship this year. At Regent we all know Franek’s determination and diligence (as well as his humour and friendliness for which, sadly, there are no awards). He has not only consistently excelled in terms of his school grades (with his mean average mark being 6,0 last school year!) and has remarkable attendance rate, but is also actively engaged in various volunteering activities and academic research. Not to mention his chess victories! Juggling all of it on top of his commitment to the preparation for demanding A-Level exams in our international programme is in itself a unique achievement.
The ceremony was held on the 26th of November in Olsztyn where on behalf of the Prime Minister, the Education Superintendent Jolanta Skrzypczyńska, congratulated all the students on their commitment and excellence and handed in the certificates.
Congratulations Franek! We are very, very proud of you!
