Organization of education in the international program

Stage 1

For the first two years, students participate in classes of 6-8 subjects: English as a Second Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, and, as an additional option, Geography and History. These subjects are taught exclusively in English based on programs developed by the University of Cambridge and using English-language textbooks. After two years, students can take IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) exams, which are especially recommended for students thinking about studying abroad.

Students of Polish origin also participate in the first and second year of high school, in accordance with the requirements of the Polish education system, in Polish language, Polish history, and Polish geography classes conducted in Polish. Foreign students, on the other hand, take part in Polish as a foreign language classes. All students also take physical education classes and additional English language classes with an emphasis on grammar and communication. This completes the list of subjects in the international class in the first two years.

Stage 2

In the third and fourth year of high school, students choose 3-4 subjects they want to continue and prepare for the international baccalaureate. The selection of subjects depends on the field of study the student wants to apply for. These 3-4 selected subjects are taught in English, following the Cambridge program, and at the end of the third year, students take AS-Level international baccalaureate exams (equivalent to the Polish basic level matura), and in the fourth year, A-Level exams (equivalent to the Polish extended level matura). The only additional subject in the third and fourth year is the Polish language.
