Physical activity is one of the main components of a healthy lifestyle. The benefits of engaging in it are obvious. In common perception, it is associated with intense participation in various sport disciplines. However, one does not need to be an experienced runner or an excellent swimmer to achieve a level of physical activity that positively impacts our health.
Today, we have many opportunities to spend our free time actively, such as climbing walls, dancing, yoga, swimming, Nordic walking, cycling, or even long walks, and so on. Some people prefer group exercises, while others avoid crowded rooms and prefer outdoor activities. Thanks to such a wide range of options, everyone can find something suitable for themselves.
To encourage and show our students a different form of physical activity, students of grades 3 and 4 of high school took part in a physical education lesson held at an indoor climbing wall. For many students, it was their first experience with this type of activity. What seemed like a simple task at first glance turned out to be an exhausting but also satisfying exercise. We started with basic training conducted by specialists.
For some students, it was quite a challenge, which they handled very well, while others felt like kids in a candy store. Congratulations to all students for their courage and willingness to face a new challenge! Next month (on November 18), we will have our second attempt at climbing the wall.
