Polish Matura Exam Results – Time to Celebrate!
This morning Polish Examination Boards have announced results of the Polish Matura exams. Nine students sat the exams at Regent International High School in May and nine more sat International A-Level exams in the May/June examination sessions. For the results of the latter we need to wait until August but today we are celebrating our Polish Matura results:
- 100% pass rate (as one of only two high schools in Elbląg),
- the highest result in Elbląg in the core curriculum English language exam (96%) and the highest (shared) in the extended English Language curriculum (83%),
- second place in English Language in the warminsko-mazurskie voivodeship (just one percentage point below first place),
- on the podium in the city in Polish Language results.
Congratulations to all our graduates and to their fabulous teachers!!! Now the holidays can truly begin 🙂

Wyniki polskich matur - świętujemy!
Dziś rano krajowe komisje egzaminacyjne ogłosiły wyniki egzaminów maturalnych. W naszej szkole matury polskie zdawało w tym roku 9 uczniów. 9 osób zdawało matury międzynarodowe, których wyniki poznamy w sierpniu.
Jak poszło naszym maturzystom? Znakomicie!
- 100% zdawalności (jako jedna z zaledwie dwóch szkół średnich w Elblągu),
- z języka angielskiego najwyższy wynik z matury podstawowej w mieście (96%) i najwyższy ex aequo z matury rozszerzonej (83%),
- drugie miejsce z języka angielskiego w województwie (1 punktem procentowym poniżej pierwszego miejsca),
- na podium w mieście z języka polskiego.
Gratulujemy wszystkim naszym tegorocznym abiturientom i ich nauczycielom. Wielkie brawa!!! Teraz wakacje naprawdę mogą się dla Was zacząć 🙂

Trip to Kraków
Last week Students of IIIrd grade of High School went for a trip to Kraków.
They visited amusement park in Energylandia, admired history and art exhibitions in National Museum in Kraków, solved clues to get out of escape rooms, and at the end, they showed their artistic skills during painting session right next to beautiful Wawel Castle.
Everybody enjoyed their stay and hope for more travels in the future.
The end of the school
The end of the school year is an important moment in the lives of students. Let us take this time to reflect on the results of our year-long work, which undoubtedly required a great deal of effort and commitment from all of us. It is also a time to bid farewell to another group of our school’s graduates.

Exams – ready, set, go!
Our written Cambridge International Education exam session has started! 19 students are sitting International AS/A-Level exams this year and 10 are sitting IGCSE exams. Between 30th April and 11th June they will be tested on their knowledge in the subjects of their choice from a list including English Language, Spanish Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Economics and Business.
The preparation involved a lot of hard-studying in class and independently, mock exams preparation and determination. We keep fingers crossed for all our students and wish them all the best for the whole examination session!
It is already four years since we have added at Regent College International High School the Cambridge International Education programme to our offer and the first year when our students will be writing the final exams that will enable them to access universities across the world (Poland included). The programme is, however, not only about accessing the university it is also about preparing students for the future – equipping them in very advanced English language skills and academic, subject-specific knowledge in English.
Due to the way the International A-Level exams work some of our students have already received acceptance letters, including letters from prestigious St Andrews University in Scotland, the University of Amsterdam and the University of Padova in Italy. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Some are still working on their university applications for universities in Poland, Italy, Belgium, the UK, Spain and Germany. During the Summer we are looking forward to receiving many more fantastic news about the university admission successes of our students!

Graduation ceremony
An Emotional Graduation Ceremony 2025 at Regent College
On Friday, April 25, 2025, a graduation ceremony for this year’s graduates took place at the Światowid Center — an event full of emotions, gratitude, and unforgettable moments.
The ceremony was hosted by Julia Jabłońska and Nicole Gray, who warmly welcomed the School Management, teachers, students, and the many parents who attended. From the very first words, it was clear that the stage on this special day belonged entirely to our graduates.
Olga Jankowska and Igor Alboszta opened the event on behalf of the fourth-grade class. Their touching words reminded us how important and emotional a moment it is to say goodbye to a school that had been their second home for many years. Afterwards, the entire school community stood respectfully to sing the national anthem.
Then, the Principal, Mr. Marek Goerick, delivered a speech in which he expressed pride in the graduates’ achievements and wished them success on their future paths. Laura Boguska spoke on behalf of the Student Council, followed by a deeply emotional speech from Faustyna Goerick, representing this year’s graduates. Her words, filled with gratitude and memories, moved everyone present.
After the official speeches, it was time for special thanks. Igor and Olga presented flowers to Principal Marek Goerick and Ms. Dorota Goerick — in appreciation of creating a place where everyone felt important, heard, and safe. Faustyna then extended heartfelt thanks to Vice Principal Mr. Mariusz Krajewski for his daily care and support. Special gratitude was also directed towards the class tutor, Ms. Anna Martowicz.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was inviting all the teachers who had taught the graduating students onto the stage. The graduates handed them flowers and personal tokens of appreciation for years of shared work, inspiration, and support. The audience responded with a warm round of applause.
Next, Ms. Anna Martowicz took the floor, and her heartfelt words addressed to the students, parents, and teachers will surely stay with us for a long time. During her speech, students were invited onto the stage to receive special awards — a proud moment also for the parents of the honored students.
It was with great joy that we announced that this year, 18 students graduated from our high school, with 8 of them receiving diplomas with distinction (red stripe honors).
Following the awards, the long-awaited moment arrived — the presentation of the graduation diplomas. Students, symbolically ringing the bell at the center of the stage, received their diplomas from the hands of the Principal and the class tutor. In the background, the solemn music of Sibelius added even more grandeur to the event.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Julia and Nicole thanked everyone for attending and wished the graduates the best of luck on their final exams and in the university admission process. After the official part, joyful group photos were taken to the sound of “We’re All in This Together” — memories that will last a lifetime.
It was a farewell full of emotions, pride, and gratitude. We thank everyone who contributed to the organization of this exceptional event and wish our graduates all the best and much success in their adult lives!
Wzruszające zakończenie roku szkolnego 2025 w Regent College
W piątek, 25 kwietnia 2025 roku, w Centrum Światowid odbyła się uroczystość zakończenia roku szkolnego dla tegorocznych maturzystów – wydarzenie pełne wzruszeń, wdzięczności i niezapomnianych chwil.
Ceremonię poprowadziły Julia Jabłońska i Nicole Gray, które w imieniu całej społeczności szkoły serdecznie przywitały Dyrekcję, nauczycieli, uczniów oraz licznie przybyłych rodziców. Już od pierwszych słów było czuć, że tego dnia scenę oddajemy w pełni w ręce czwartoklasistów – naszych prawie absolwentów.
W imieniu klasy 4 uroczystość rozpoczęli Olga Jankowska i Igor Alboszta. Ich wzruszające słowa przypomniały nam, jak ważnym momentem jest pożegnanie ze szkołą, która przez lata była dla nich drugim domem. Następnie cała społeczność szkoły z szacunkiem odśpiewała hymn państwowy.
Głos zabrał Dyrektor Marek Goerick, który w swoim przemówieniu wyraził dumę z osiągnięć maturzystów i życzył im powodzenia na dalszej drodze życia. W imieniu Samorządu Szkolnego przemówiła Laura Boguska, a chwilę później, w imieniu tegorocznych maturzystów, Faustyna wygłosiła niezwykle emocjonalne przemówienie. Jej słowa, pełne wdzięczności i wspomnień, poruszyły wszystkich obecnych.
Po oficjalnych wystąpieniach przyszedł czas na szczególne podziękowania. Igor i Olga wręczyli kwiaty Panu Dyrektorowi Markowi Goerickowi i Pani Dorocie Goerick – za stworzenie miejsca, w którym każdy czuł się ważny, słyszany i bezpieczny. Następnie Faustyna Goerick podziękowała Wicedyrektorowi Mariuszowi Krajewskiemu za codzienną troskę i opiekę. Szczególne wyrazy wdzięczności skierowano również do wychowawczyni klasy – Pani Anny Martowicz.
Kulminacyjnym momentem było zaproszenie wszystkich nauczycieli, którzy uczyli tegorocznych maturzystów. Na scenie uczniowie wręczyli im kwiaty oraz indywidualne podziękowania za lata wspólnej pracy, inspiracji i wsparcia. Widownia nagrodziła ten moment gorącymi brawami.
Następnie głos zabrała Pani Anna Martowicz, której słowa skierowane do uczniów, rodziców i nauczycieli na długo pozostaną w naszej pamięci. Podczas jej przemówienia uczniowie zostali zaproszeni na scenę, aby odebrać specjalne wyróżnienia. Były to wyjątkowe chwile także dla dumnych rodziców.
Z wielką radością ogłoszono, że w tym roku 18 uczniów ukończyło nasze liceum, z czego aż 8 absolwentów otrzymało świadectwa z wyróżnieniem (czerwonym paskiem).
Po oficjalnym wręczeniu nagród nadszedł długo wyczekiwany moment – rozdanie świadectw ukończenia szkoły. Uczniowie, bijąc symbolicznie w dzwon na środku sceny, odbierali swoje świadectwa z rąk Dyrektora i wychowawczyni. W tle rozbrzmiewała muzyka Sibeliusa, nadając ceremonii jeszcze bardziej uroczysty ton.
Na zakończenie, Julia i Nicole podziękowały wszystkim obecnym za udział w wydarzeniu oraz życzyły maturzystom powodzenia na egzaminach maturalnych i w procesie rekrutacji na studia. Po uroczystości, przy dźwiękach radosnej piosenki “We’re All in This Together”, wykonano pamiątkowe zdjęcia, które na długo utrwalą wspomnienia tego dnia.
To było pożegnanie pełne emocji, dumy i wdzięczności. Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy przyczynili się do organizacji tego wyjątkowego wydarzenia i życzymy naszym absolwentom samych sukcesów w dorosłym życiu!
A tremendous success of our students!
Our Students Are Finalists in the Nationwide "Zwolnieni z Teorii" Competition!
We are proud to announce that two of our students, Julia Łopacka and Antonina Gumińska, have achieved the title of finalists in the prestigious nationwide competition “Zwolnieni z Teorii”!
As part of the competition, the girls created an exceptional social project called Safety Queens, aimed at raising awareness about internet safety, particularly in the field of online shopping and selling.
In the age of digital transactions, user security has become extremely important.
The Safety Queens project focuses on analyzing the most common threats faced by buyers and sellers, and on proposing practical preventive measures.
The project is targeted at people of all ages and will be implemented through social media as well as other forms of communication.
We are extremely proud that our high school students are not only developing their educational skills but are also actively engaging in important social initiatives.
Moreover, the girls have also earned an international project management certificate issued by the Project Management Institute ATP, confirming their skills in professional project planning and execution.
We sincerely congratulate them on their success and wish them continued inspiring achievements!
Nasze uczennice finalistkami ogólnopolskiego konkursu "Zwolnieni z Teorii"!
Z ogromną dumą informujemy, że dwie uczennice: Julia Łopacka i Antonina Gumińska uzyskały tytuł finalistek prestiżowego ogólnopolskiego konkursu “Zwolnieni z Teorii”! W ramach konkursu dziewczyny stworzyły wyjątkowy projekt społeczny pod nazwą Safety Queens, którego celem jest zwiększenie świadomości na temat bezpieczeństwa w internecie, zwłaszcza w obszarze zakupów i sprzedaży online.
W dobie cyfrowych transakcji bezpieczeństwo użytkowników staje się niezwykle istotne. Projekt Safety Queenskoncentruje się na analizie najczęstszych zagrożeń, z jakimi mogą się spotkać kupujący i sprzedający, oraz na proponowaniu praktycznych działań zapobiegawczych.
Projekt skierowany jest do osób w różnym wieku i będzie realizowany zarówno w mediach społecznościowych, jak i za pomocą innych form przekazu.
Jesteśmy niezwykle dumni, że nasi licealiści nie tylko rozwijają swoje kompetencje edukacyjne, ale także angażują się w tak ważne inicjatywy społeczne. Co więcej, dziewczyny uzyskały również międzynarodowy certyfikat zarządzania projektami, wydany przez Project Management Institute ATP, potwierdzający ich umiejętności w profesjonalnym planowaniu i realizacji projektów.

Prom 2025
On January 18, the graduating class of the International Regent College High School celebrated their 100 days until final exams.
The evening began with a traditional Polonaise dance. In an emotional speech, the class teacher, Dr. Anna Martowicz, spoke about the significance of Studniówka. The principal, Mr. Marek Goerick, wished everyone an enjoyable evening. The special guest of the night was President Dr. Michał Missan, who gifted the graduates a delicious cake.
The atmosphere was enhanced by extraordinary music that united generations, timeless hits, and a kind of fun that required no words. Under the guidance of Ms. Joanna Jankowska, the graduates prepared a comedy skit titled “Deserted Island,” which humorously depicted various classroom situations.
The entire event was beautifully captured by Ms. Urszula Zajko-Olejniczak, whose expert eye preserved the most memorable moments.
This year’s Studniówka will surely remain in our memories for a long time. We invite you to browse the photo gallery from this special event!
18 stycznia maturalna klasa Międzynarodowego Liceum Regent College świętowała swoje 100 dni do matury.
Wieczór rozpoczęliśmy klasycznym polonezem. Wychowawczyni Pani dr Anna Martowicz we wzruszającym przemówieniu powiedziała o znaczeniu Studniówki. Pan dyrektor Marek Goerick życzył udanej zabawy. Gościem specjalnym tego wieczoru był prezydent dr Michał Missan, który podarował maturzystom przepyszny tor. Dziękujemy bardzo za ten miły gest, który nadał wyjątkowości tego wieczoru. Czas umilała nam nietuzinkowa muzyka, która połączyła pokolenia, ponadczasowe hity i zabawa, w której można porozumieć się bez słów.
Maturzyści przygotowali pod opieką Pani Joanny Jankowskiej kabaret “Bezludna Wyspa”, który fantastycznie opowiadał różne sytuacje z lekcji.
Całość została upamiętniona dzięki Pani Urszuli Zajko-Olejniczak, która swoim fachowym wzrokiem uchwyciła wspaniałe momenty.
Tegoroczna studniówka z pewnością zostanie w naszej pamięci na długo. Zapraszamy do fotorelacji z tego wydarzenia.
Chess Tournament at Regent High School
On Tuesday, December 3rd, the long-awaited chess tournament took place at Regent High School. Fourteen high school students and a special guest, our alumnus and last year’s graduate Wojciech Bernaszuk, competed. A total of 8 rounds were played at a pace of 10 minutes per game with a 3-second increment after each move. A new rule required players to record their games up to the 12th move, allowing for analysis of the openings played in the Regent Chess Club.
The fight for the podium lasted until the final round, as the winner, Franciszek Olechnowicz from grade 4, had a group of rivals constantly “breathing down his neck” and conceded two draws along the way. Jakub Stasiek (newly minted fourth category!) took second place with a score only half a point lower, and third place went to the most experienced player in the field, Wojciech, who was unexpectedly thwarted by an elegant victory by Aleksander Stankiewicz from grade 3.
The first-graders also deserve recognition for their very good debut, competing boldly with their older colleagues. The best of this three-person group was Josh Kordek (4 points), who shared 4th-6th places with Aleksander and Mateusz Martewicz. Unfortunately, a turn of events in two games spoiled the result for Jakub Jankowski, who very seriously threatened the tournament winner and had a real chance for the podium, but in the heat of the moment made two big oversights.
The battles on the chessboards were as fierce as ever, but there was a great, friendly atmosphere, with no shortage of jokes, laughter, and cheering for teammates after finishing their games. George from grade 2 impressed with his progress in mastering the Polish language, commenting (sometimes very spontaneously) on his games.
The best three were awarded book prizes by the School Director, Mr. Marek Goerick.
The chess players were satisfied with the playing conditions and the excitement and immediately expressed a desire to play another tournament this semester.
The spirit of sportsmanship is very strong in our school!

The Konik Chess Competition
Excellent Results for Our Students in the Konik Chess Competition
Following our student Krystian Bernas’ recent success (winning a tournament in Olsztyn and achieving a second chess category), we have more great news to share about the royal game. The highly anticipated results from the nationwide Konik chess competition held in November have just been released. In its first edition on October 24th, over 1000 schools across the country participated. Eight of our students from Regent competed in various age groups, from elementary school to high school.
Two third-year high school students, Aleksander Stankiewicz and Mateusz Martewicz, performed the best on the set of 30 chess puzzles, scoring 107.5 and 105 points respectively. They secured the 3rd and 4th places in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. Our previously mentioned 6th grader, Krzysztof Bernas, achieved a very good result, placing 5th in the voivodeship with 132.5 points and securing 8th place overall. Konstanty Wroński, also a third-year high school student, achieved 8th place in the Pawn category, and his classmate Antoni Rokicki secured 25th place.
The competition not only brought us a lot of excitement but also strengthened our students’ ability to concentrate and find tactical patterns. We are confident that our Regent students will participate and compete for top places in the next edition next year!
