On October 7 and 16, high school students from grades 1-4 participated in a meaningful initiative as part of their physical education classes. They visited the Animal Shelter for Homeless Animals in Elbląg, with the primary objective of raising awareness about the struggles faced by homeless animals. The trip aimed to foster a sense of responsibility and compassion among students, encouraging them to take action in support of abandoned and mistreated animals.
During this engaging activity, students had the wonderful opportunity to take the shelter dogs for a one-hour walk, enjoying fresh air and exercise in the beautiful Bażantarnia Forest. The joy was palpable, with the air filled with the happy barking of the dogs, who relished the attention and companionship of their young caretakers. This was PAWSitively the best field trip ever!
We are incredibly grateful for the positive reception of this initiative! Thanks to the fantastic collaboration between primary and high school students, we successfully collected a significant amount of food and supplies for the animals at the shelter. This experience not only enriched the lives of the students but also made a substantial difference in the lives of the animals in need.
